How to play
artdoku.
Read the clues, mark what might be possible and place every suspect in the museum. The thief is the suspect left alone in the same room as the stolen painting. The logic is simple; the mystery is yours to solve.

From possibility
to placement.
Select a suspect first. A quick tap records a possibility; a deliberate hold confirms the final position.
IrisselectedSelect a suspect
Tap a portrait in the suspect list. The selected card gets a red outline so you always know whose clues you are working on.
?tapTap to add a note
Tap a possible cell to add the selected suspect as a small candidate note. Tap the same cell again to remove that note.
holdHold to place
Press and hold a cell to make a final placement: about 1.25 seconds on touch, or 0.75 seconds with a mouse.
NobodyMark a cell where no suspect can stand. Row and column crosses also appear automatically.

UndoTake back your last move. Your progress is saved automatically on this device.
Read the clues as positions.
Each person occupies one empty cell. Cells containing a display, statue, painting, information desk, or plant cannot hold a suspect.
××ROW + COLUMN
Place one suspect. Cross out the rest of that row and column for the others.
××✓×KEYWORD
"Beside" or "next to" means directly above, below, left, or right in the same room.
PAINTINGS
Memorize the paintings and artists shown before the puzzle starts. Some clues name a painting or its artist, such as "beside the Mona Lisa," instead of showing its picture.
Step by step
One clue unlocks
the next.
Follow each certain placement to see how one clue unlocks the next.

Brenda: “I was with Iris in the Ticket Desk.”

Iris: “I was sitting on a chair.”

Fiona: “I was in the top or bottom row, in the second column.”
Read the clues
Each suspect statement narrows the cells where that person could still be.
Mark possible cells
Use notes first. When only one logical cell remains, make the final placement.

Place Iris
Only C2 fits both clues. Mark Iris and eliminate the rest of her row and column.

Place Brenda
Brenda must be at D1. Another certain position sharpens the remaining choices.

Place Fiona
With row 1 occupied, Fiona’s only possible position is B4.

Reveal the thief
The Mona Lisa goes at A3. Fiona is alone with it—case solved.
